James Stowell

James J. Stowell, 58 of Mount Vernon, passed away Sunday morning November 6, 2016 at his home. He was born April 28, 1958 in Milwaukee, WI the son of Harry James and Rita Ruth (Thurmer) Stowell. He was married to Jessica Enlow.
James worked as the Property Director at Res Care. He was a huge fan of the Green Bay Packers. He enjoyed helping with his boys in Boy Scouts. He loved motorcycle riding, horseshoes and was a tinkerer. He was a veteran of the United States Army.
He is survived by his wife, Jessica; children, Sharleen (Ronnie) Fischer, Nicole (Susan) Matslater, Tony Hardy, James Dean Stowell, Jacob and Shane Loughary; sister, Gail (Tom) Rehak. Several grandkids and nieces and nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson, Kyler.
Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. on Thursday November 10, 2016 at the Stendeback Family Funeral Home at 1330 E. 4th St., Mt. Vernon. Military rites will be conducted at 4 p.m. at the funeral home by Owen Dunn Post #5.
