James Prince

James "Jim" E. Prince, 81, of Enfield, passed away Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at 8:15 p.m. at Enfield Rehab and Healthcare in Enfield. He was born October 2, 1931 in Mill Shoals Township, IL, the son of Harold and Bertha (Williams) Prince. He married Doris Marie Woodrow on December 29, 1955. Jim had worked in the oilfields and was a member of Community Of Christ Church in Springerton.

Jim is survived by his wife of 57 years, Doris Prince of Enfield; two daughters and a son-in-law, Tammy Hayes of Indianapolis, IN and Janice and Mike Carroll of Grayville; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Brad and Wendy Prince of Fort Mill, S C and J.R. Prince of Crossville; two sisters, Patsy Sisco of Midland, TX and Marjorie Britton of Enfield; three brothers and two sister-in-law, Doyle and Janice Prince of Carmi, William and Linda Prince of Rock Island, IL and Eddie Prince of Fairfield; ten grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three sisters, Verna Lee Griese, Carol K. Prince and Betty Prince; and a brother, Michael Prince.

Funeral services for James E. "Jim" Prince, 81, of Enfield, will be Monday, April 22, 2013 at the Community Of Christ Church in Springerton, IL at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be at Springerton Cemetery. Friends may call on Sunday from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi and on Monday from 12:00 p.m. until time of service at the church.

Memorial gifts may be made in Jim's name to St. Jude Children's Hospital and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi who is in charge of arrangements.
