James L. Mosley, 87, of Mt. Vernon, passed on Wednesday, December 28, 2016. He was born on May 14, 1929 in Louisville, KY, the son of Boyd and Maude (Blackburn) Mosley, Sr. He was married to Virginia Mae Boling for 27 years before her death; he was then married to Evelyn Barker for 30 years before her death.
Mr. Mosley was a carpenter and had worked for Marley Cooling Tower. He liked eating out and traveling. He attended Church of God Mission in Mt. Vernon.
He is survived by his son Terry Lee (Barbara) Mosley; daughters, Diane King and Linda Sue Hogan; step-children, Paula Kay Hoehn, Bob Robb and Connie Robb; 31 grandchildren, 89 great-grandchildren, and 9 great, great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his children, Timothy, Rosa Dean, Donnie, Kathy, Stanley and Danny Ray and step-son William Robb; and brothers, Boyd, Jr. and Roy, sisters, Mary Nation, Anna Mae Colburn and Katherine Blackburn.
