James Clayton Campbell 85 of Enfield, passed away Wednesday morning April 10, 2019 at the Enfield Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was born April 9, 1934 in White County, the son of Uhel Harrison (Harry) and Marrium Genella (Jenny) Veatch Campbell. He married Gloria Ann Gunter on April 10, 1954 in Corinth, MS and she preceded him in death on July 26, 2010.
Clayton was a Petroleum Sales Driver for Wabash Valley. He was a 44 year member of the Enfield Masonic Lodge.
He is survived by his daughters, Debbie (Steve) Merrick, Cherie (Greg) Morss and Jana (Jim) Bolin; 6 granddaughters, Andrea Stocke, Kriste Ingram, Kelly Daugherty, Skyler Morss, Chelsea Wellen and Emily Bolin; 10 great-grandchildren, Haley Stocke, Tanner Ingram, Treylen Veach, Lakien Veach, Hadley and Laney Ingram, Mya McGowan, Reef and River Daugherty and Klay Wellen; 3 great-great-granddaughters, Anzley and Anika Turrentine and Tansley Ingram.He is also survived by his sisters-in-law, Phyllis Medlin, Kay (Phil) Huffer, brother-in-law John (Carolyn) Gunter and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Edison and Arthur Campbell, Mary Ruth Dorman, Infants, Evelynia and William Campbell and brother-in-law, Max Medlin
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday April 13, 2019 at the Stendeback Family Funeral Home in Enfield with Rev. John Gunter officiating. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home. Masonic Rites will be conducted at 12:45 p.m. Burial will be in Enfield Cemetery.
