James Boerner

James L. Boerner, 70, of Mt. Vernon, IN died Friday, December 3, 2004 at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Evansville. Jim was born December 23, 1933 in Evansville, IN son of Rudolph and Dorothy (Bauer) Boerner. Jim was a farmer and was a member of Salem United Church of Christ-Heusler. Jim was also a member of the Constellation Masonic Lodge #748 in Evansville, IN, Scottish Rite and Hadi Shrine in Evansville, River Bend Association, Eagles 1717, Moose Lodge #497 and Sword of Bunker Hill Posey Co #71 all in Mt. Vernon. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother Jerry Boerner in 2000,
He is survived by his sons, John Boerner of Mt. Vernon and Joe Boerner of Evansville; his granddaughter, Amanda Boerner of Mt. Vernon; longtime friend and companion, Dorothy Tipton of Evansville; a brother Bob Boerner of Mt. Vernon; a niece, Sherri Moll of Mt. Vernon and nephews, Mike, Eric and Marc Boerner all of Mt.Vernon, and several great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, December 8, 2004 at Austin Funeral Home 1330 East Fourth St. Mt. Vernon, IN. Burial will be in Salem Church Cemetery in Mt. Vernon. Friends may call from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Tuesday, December 7, 2004 at the funeral home where a Masonic service will be held at 7:00 PM. Memorial contributions can be made to Salem UCC Church or American Heart Association.
