Jackie McKenzie, 79, of Norris City passed away at 5:20 a.m., Sunday, July 8, 2018 at Wabash Christian Village in Carmi. She was born on April 18, 1939 in Kansas City, KS the daughter of George and Dollie (Hinkle) Brown. Jackie married Earl Dean McKenzie on March 1, 1958. She was a homemaker and a member of Ditney Ridge Baptist Church and Happy Faces Home Extension.
Jackie is survived by her husband of 60 years, Earl; a daughter, Jana (Richard) Johnson of Omaha; a son, Earl Dean (Barbara) McKenzie, Jr. of Norris City; four grandchildren, LaDarrah (Matt) Krogh, Alison (Heath) Rush, Adrienne (Jordan) Johnson, and Gena (Zack Cushman) Johnson; 10 great-grandchildren, Jake, Alexis, Molly, Sophie, and Beau Rush, Milo and Laken Johnson, and McKenna, Benjamin and Rex Krogh. She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Leslie McKenzie, a sister, Patricia Huber and a great-grandchild, Gage Rush.
Funeral Services for Jackie McKenzie, 79, of Norris City will be at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at Campbell Funeral Home in Norris City with Pastor Chris Marsh officiating. Burial will be in Union Ridge Cemetery near Norris City. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m until 11:00 a.m. at Campbell Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made in Jackie's memory to a favorite charity and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home in Norris City.
