Jackie E. Givens, 86, of Norris City, passed away at 1:17 p.m., Friday, May 6, 2016 at Select Speciality Hospital in Evansville, IN. He was born in Eldorado, IL on January 26, 1930 the son of Charles and Verna Mary (Mertes) Givens. Jackie married Marjorie H. Seyfert on July 6, 1959. Jackie served his country in U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He worked as a mechanic and was a member of Turning Point Church of God in McLeansboro.

Super Fantastic Jack, as he was known by his family is survived by his wife of 56, Marjorie; three daughters, Linda Lee and husband Robert Williams of Kansas City, MO, Mary Ruth and husband Roy Starks of Norris City, and Crystal Anne and husband Kurt Schroeder of Mt. Prospect, IL; two sons, Charles Robert Givens of Atlanta, GA and Kevin Scott and wife Mary Price Givens of Topeka, KS; an honorary daughter, Mary Gothard; nine grandchildren, Tavia Lynn Pyatt, Christopher Robert Givens, Amber Sahray Handler, Caitlyn Elise Leeth, Andrew Scott Givens, Neil Alexander Givens, Malachi Levi Givens, Tasha Nicole Givens, and Zachariah Givens; and two great-grandchildren, Jackie Abram and Liam Israel Handler. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and Norman Givens.

A celebration of Jackie's life will be held at 7:00 p.m., Sunday, May 15, 2016 at Turning Point Church of God in McLeansboro. Memorial contributions may be made in Jackie's memory to Turning Point Church of God Food Pantry, 105 E. Broadway, McLeansboro, IL 62859 and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home in Norris City who is charge of arrangements.
