Jackie C. Brown

     Jackie C. Brown, 88, of Carmi passed away on Friday, October 20, 2023 at Wabash Christian Village in Carmi.  She was born in Yell City, Arkansas on July 1, 1935 the daughter of Harmon Vernon and Eunice Cleo (Cooper) Greer. Jackie moved to Texas where she met Loy Lee Brown.  They were married in McAllen, TX on November 29, 1958 and he preceded her in death on March 7, 2017.  Jackie was a long time member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church. She loved to read and bowl, watching bowling and really loved watching and rooting on the Dallas Cowboys.

     Jackie is survived by cousins, Judy and Stan Cutchin of Carmi and numerous friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Loy; son Timothy L. Brown on August 4, 2014 and two brothers, Robert and Irving Greer.

     Funeral services for Jackie C. Brown, 88, of Carmi will be held at 12:00 p.m., Friday, October 27, 2023 at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi.  Burial will follow in White County Memorial Garden in Carmi.  Visitation will be held on Friday, October 27, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. until service time at noon at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Jackie's memory to Emmanuel Church and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home
