Jack Biggs
April 18, 1941 — March 3, 2017
Jack E. Biggs, 75 of New Harmony, passed away Friday morning at his home. He was born April 18, 1941, in Griffin, IN the son of Lloyd and Ola (Owens) Biggs. He married Linda Shephard on December 14, 1960 in New Harmony.
Jack was retired from B&W in Mt. Vernon. He enjoyed fishing and 4Wheeler riding. He was a veteran of the United States Army and had been a paratrooper. He was a member of V.F.W. Post #2714 in Ft. Branch , American Legion Owen Dunn Post #5 and Elks Lodge #277 both in Mt. Vernon.
He is survived by his wife, Linda; son, Barry (Joy) Biggs, grandchildren, Quentin (Lauren) Biggs, Emily Logsdon, Zachary and Haley Biggs; great-grandchildren, Branton and Truett Biggs and Avery Logsdon. He was preceded in death by his son and daughter-in law, Troy and Angie Biggs; brother, Gerald and sisters, Dorothy Mobley and Janice Hayes.
Funeral services will be held at Noon on Monday March 6, 2017 at the Stendeback Family Funeral Home at 1330 E. 4th St., Mt. Vernon with burial in Maple Hill Cemetery at New Harmony.
