Imogene Fields

Imogene Fields, 89, of Carmi, passed away Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at 5:50 p.m. at St. Mary's Medical Center in Evansville, IN. She was born August 10, 1923 in Mill Shoals, IL, the daughter of Eugene Sylvester and Madge Bernadine (Smith) Upton. She married John Chris Fields February 8, 1944 and he preceded her in death June 26, 1984. She was a member of Ashland Christian Church. She was a school teacher and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Cathy Joan and Mike Dozier of Enfield; a son, John Fields of Carmi; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son Jim Fields, and two sisters, Alice Paschall and Laura Alveda Baxley.
Funeral services for Imogene Fields, 89, of Carmi, will be Saturday, February 16, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi with Fred Leeds and Braden Willis officiating. Burial will be in Little Zion Cemetery near Enfield. Friends may call on Friday, from 4:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
