Pauline McIntosh, 92, Carmi, died Saturday, June 14, 2014 at Wabash Christian Retirement Center. She was born June 16, 1921, in the Springerton Bottoms to James Oscar and Gertie May Newby McIntosh.
Pauline worked many years at White County Bank and also at Wabash Christian Retirement Center. She was a longtime member of The First Christian Church in Carmi.
She is survived by a sister-in-law, Mary Rodgers McIntosh of Carmi; 2 nephews, Jimmie (Kathy) McIntosh of Chandler, IN and Paul (Darnelle) McIntosh of Bruno, AR; 3 nieces, Mary Ellen (Marvin) Schiavone of Sherman, TX, Rebecca (Richard) Hargrave of Shelbyville, IL, and Leah McIntosh of Houston, TX; a niece-in-law, Sallie McIntosh of Evansville, IN; several great and great-great nieces and nephews, and numerous other friends and family members who loved her dearly.
Pauline was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Emmett (Eva), Lester, and James (Lois) McIntosh; a sister, Ruth McIntosh; and a nephew, Delano McIntosh.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM, Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at Stendeback Family Funeral Home in Carmi with Richard Hargrave officiating. Burial will be in Springerton Cemetery in Springerton IL. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM on Tuesday, June 17, 2014, at the funeral home.
