Hubert Ballard

      Hubert C. Ballard, 90, of McLeansboro, Illinois, passed away at home, on Wednesday, June 12, 2024. He was born on July 23, 1933, in Hamilton County, the son of William Henry and Edith Alice (Long) Ballard. Hubert married Ila Sue Boyer on May 8, 1955, and she survives. He worked as a grain and livestock farmer. Hubert was a member of Webb's Chapel Methodist Church.

      In addition to his wife, Ila Ballard of McLeansboro, IL; his daughter, Cynthia D. (Gerald Brown) Organ of McLeansboro, IL; a granddaughter, Melissa (Ward) Wuornus; two great-grandchildren, Kayla and Erin Wuornos; and a brother-in-law, LB (Terry) Boyer. He is preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Alan H. Ballard and Michael H. Ballard; a sister, Mary Alice Ballard; and a brother, Carroll Ballard.

     Private services were held with burial at Enfield Cemetery. Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi was in charge of arrangements.
