Henry C. (Bud) Garner
Born on February 1, 1932, to Henry T. & Violet Garner of rural Carmi, IL and passed on July 4, 2017. Upon graduation from Crossville Community High School in 1950, Bud joined the Army serving with the 516the Signal Core in Austria and later the Army Reserve.
Bud married his wife of 60 years Joan Frantz on February 15, 1957. Together, they raised three sons while farming near Garnerville.
Survivors include his wife, Joan, sons Mark (Beverly) Garner of St. Louis, MO, Owen Garner of rural Carmi and Damon Garner of Champaign, IL as well as two grandchildren Morgan and Aaron Garner. He is also survived by three sisters Ella Mae Clark of Texas City, Juanita McCorkle of Browns, and Betty Stabler of Lakeland, FL.
Bud was proceeded in death by an infant son Eric, his parents, as well as brothers Charles F. and John R.
Funeral services at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi are scheduled for 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 8, 2017. Burial will be in Kuykendall Cemetery in Carmi. Visitation will be Saturday, July 8, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Bud's memory to Crossville United Methodist Church and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi.
