Helen Ziegler

Helen Ziegler, 80, of Carmi passed away Saturday, June 8, 2013 at 11:59 a.m. at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, IN. She was born October 29, 1932 in Emma Township, IL the daughter of William and Nora (Alldredge) Burnett.. Helen married L.D. "Dobber" Ziegler on November 17, 1951 and he preceded her in death on October 12, 2002. She was a homemaker and a member of the Democrat Ladies Organization.
Helen is survived by a daughter, Paula Dozier (Mike Knight) of Carmi; a son, Junior Ziegler of Carmi; two grandchildren, Angela (Rick) Wilson and Zach Bassemier; four great-grandchildren, Aiden, Ricky and Jenna Wilson, Khloe Bassemier and one on the way, Addison Wilson.
She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Fannie Peyton and Sarah Holland and five brothers, George, Darrel, Andrew, Alvin and James Burnett.
Funeral Services for Helen Ziegler, 80, of Carmi will be Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi with Ron Lamp officiating. Burial will be in White County Memorial Garden near Carmi. Friends may call at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi on Monday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Memorial Contributions may be made in Helen's memory to The Phoenix Foundation, 615 W. Webb St, Carmi, IL 62821 and will be accepted at the funeral home.
