Helen Dell

Helen Marie Dell, 71 of Mt. Vernon, IN died Tuesday afternoon, January 27, 2009 at the Mt. Vernon Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Mt. Vernon. She was born on August 6, 1938 in Knox County, IN, the daughter of Dallas and Cleo (Martin) Frederick. She married Arthur O. Dell on October 2, 1954 and he survives.


Mrs. Dell was a homemaker.


In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Randy (R.D.) Dell of Mt. Vernon; a daughter and son-in-law, Rose Marie and Ed Schamburg of Mt. Vernon; two grandchildren, Ed Schamburg III and Keri Schamburg; three brothers, Sylvan Willis of Owensboro, KY, Wayne Frederick of Petersburg, IN and Harold Frederick of Elkhart, IN; and two sisters, Ruth Ann Butrum of Newburgh, IN and Rae Del Gieselman of Chandler, IN. Mrs. Dell was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Kristin Schamburg and a brother, Don Frederick.


Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday January 30, 2009 at the Austin Funeral Home at Mt. Vernon, IN with burial in Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery in Evansville. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Online condolences may be left at austinfuneralhome.com
