Harold W. Shahan

March 4, 1948 - October 27, 2014

Harold W. Shahan, 65, of Mt. Vernon, died Monday morning, October 27, 2014 at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville. He was born on March 8, 1949 in Kentucky, the son of Harold Edward and Goldie (Walls) Shahan. He married Phyllis Kirkpatrick and she survives.

Mr. Shahan was a farmer. He was a member of the Church of God Mission.

He is survived by one son, Harold Wayne Shahan, Jr. of Mt. Vernon; two daughters, April Wells of Evansville and Phyllis Kirkpatrick of Mt. Vernon; sisters, Patricia Little of Mt. Vernon and Barbara Fonner of Evansville; six grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Robert Lee Shahan, daughter, Barbara Faye Shahan; brother, Roger Shahan and sisters, Carolyn Eaton and Dixie Robertson.

Funeral services will be held at Noon on Thursday, October, 30, 2014 at Stendeback Family Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in Weiss Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family to help with expenses and will be collected at the funeral home.
