Harold Goff

Harold Thomas Goff, 82 of Mt. Vernon went to be with the Lord on Thursday June 9, 2016. He was born March 13, 1934 in Mt. Vernon, the son of Thomas and Sarah (Emory) Goff. He married Dolly F. Shelton on June 10, 1960.
Harold was retired from Westech fencing company and was a veteran of the United States Navy. He enjoyed his spare time doing yard work, watching baseball, and spending time with his family. He was a member of Faith Fellowship Church.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Dolly; son, Alan Ray Goff; daughters, Dolly J. (Tom) Winegar, Sarah K. (Paul) Gross and Lisa D. (Jason) Huey; 11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; brothers, Ronald (Vicki) Goff and Eddie (Brenda) Goff; sisters, Jane Brooks and Shirley Essary. He was preceded in death by his parents Thomas and Sarah and his stepmother, Genevieve who helped raise him from age 2; son, Dennis W. Goff; sister, Doris Bundy and brother, Jerry Goff.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday June 13, 2016 at the Stendeback Family Funeral Home at 1330 E. 4th St., Mt. Vernon with Rev Brad Nolan officiating.
