Gordon King

Gordon D. King 60 of Mt. Vernon, IN passed away early Monday morning September 10, 2018 at his home. He was born March 31, 1958 in Mt. Vernon, the son of William J. and Ruth (Redman) King.

Gordon had worked for several years for Pioneer Seed. He enjoyed artwork and playing the guitar.

He is survived by his brothers, Lawrence, Ralph and Jerome (Debbie) King; sisters, Martha McDavid, Sara Dawes and Cynthia Johnson; his longtime companion, Ellen Wasson and many nieces and nephews and also Susie King and Donnie Gibson. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Paul Wayne and William B. King and sisters, Carol Elizabeth Spradlin, Bonita R. Trafford and Laurel Jane Gibson.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday September 15, 2018 at the Stendeback Family Funeral Home at 1330 E. 4th St., Mt. Vernon, IN. Friends may call from Noon until service time. Online condolences may be left at stendebackfamilyfuneralhome.com
