Biography

Gloria L. Brock, age 70 of Carmi died Sunday morning, March 10, 2013 at Deaconess Hospital. She was born December 29, 1942, in Carmi, the daughter of Raymond and Martha (Garrett) Renshaw. She married Larry Brock and he survives.

Gloria sat for the elderly and attended the Church of Christ in Crossville.

She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, James and Karen Ward of Carmi; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Karen Sexton of Carmi, Marsha and Jamie Jones of Wyoming, and Darla and Allan Lindsey of Wyoming; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Rodger and Gail Renshaw, and Mark and Rhonda Renshaw, nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a niece, Sydney Renshaw; and Devin Ward, whom she helped raise.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and a son, Jeffrey Ray Ward.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 14, 2013 at 10:00 am, at Stendeback Family Funeral Home in Carmi. Pastor Herb Woolard will officiate. Burial will take place in Bruce Chapel Cemetery in Carmi. Visitation will be held Wednesday evening, from 4:00 to 8:00 pm, in the funeral home.
