Glenda Thomas

Glenda L. Thomas, 77, of Mt. Vernon, died Saturday morning, September 6, 2014 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital. She was born on April 19, 1937 in Evansville, the daughter of Clyde and Lela (Miles) Gerton. She married Wilford Thomas in 1955 in New Harmony and he preceded her in death on December 5, 1993.

Mrs. Thomas was a homemaker. She belonged to Harvestime Temple. She enjoyed scrapbooking and playing the piano.

She is survived by one son, Alan Thomas and one grandson, Matthew Thomas, both of Mt. Vernon and several cousins.

Funeral services will be at 1pm on Thursday, September 11, 2014 at Stendeback Family Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon. Visitation will be from 11am to the time of the service.
