Glenda F. (Bryant) Newman, 79, of Newburgh IN, passed away at 1:01 a.m., Monday, November 28, 2016 at Park Terrace Village in Evansville, IN. She was born in Norris City, IL on June 30, 1937 the daughter of Hal Leahmon and Myrtle Anna (Gillihan) Bryant. Glenda married James L. Newman and he preceded her in death. She was a graduate of Norris City High School and SIU Carbondale. Glenda was the owner of Julanes Hair Fashion for over 20 years and retired in 1995.
Glenda is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Greg and Patricia Pyle of Evansville, IN, and John and Belinda Pyle of Newburgh, IN; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Keith and Elizabeth Bryant of Norris City and Hal Wynn and Debbie Bryant of Norris City; a sister and brother-in-law, Sue and Lowell McArthy of Norris City, and four grandchildren, Hannah, Sophia, Gabrielle, and John Logan Pyle. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband James, two brothers Larry and Gerald Bryant, her two sisters, Phyllis Allen and Peggy Perigan.
Funeral services for Glenda F. (Bryant) Newman will be held at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, December 1, 2016 at Campbell Funeral Home in Norris City. Burial will be in I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday, December 1, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. until service time at 3:00 p.m. at Campbell Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in Glenda's memory to the Vanderburgh County Humane Society. Campbell Funeral Home in Norris City is in charge of arrangements.
