Gerry Emery

Gerry S. Emery, 86, of Grayville passed away at 4:04 p.m., Thursday, October 24, 2013 at Good Samaritan Regional Health Center in Mt. Vernon, IL. She was born November 12, 1926 in Eldorado, IL the daughter of Garland and Minerva Joy (Morehead) Mills. Gerry married Raymond W. "Buck" Emery on April 30, 1961 and he preceded her in death on November 27, 1997. She had worked as a secretary and receptionist for Dr. C. W. Wilson's dental practice in Grayville.

Surviving are her daughter, Joy Ellen Pigg of Maryland Heights, MO; a son, Bob Hesterly of Seoul, South Korea; four sisters and three brothers-in-law, Constance Vinson of Dumfries, VA, Beverly and Kenny McKenzie of Norris City, Billie and Ron Kitchen of Portales, NM and Carolyn and Victor Sourant of Youngtown, AZ; a brother and sister-in-law, Tommy and Terry Johnson of Norris City; 10 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Gerry was preceded in death by a brother, Gene Mills.

Funeral services for Gerry S. Emery, 86, of Grayville, will be held on Sunday, October 27, 2013 at 1:30 p.m. at Campbell Funeral Home in Norris City with Danny Hesterly officiating. Burial will be in I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Norris City. Friends may call on Saturday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
