Gerald Healy

Gerald F. Healy, age 86 of Enfield, died Sunday evening November 24, 2013 at Wabash Christian Retirement Center in Carmi. He was born January 14, 1927 at Norris City, the son of Ellison A and Ruth O. (Lough) Healy. He married Ruth L. Crawford on November 22, 1952 at Fairfield.

Gerald farmed in the Norris City and Enfield area all of his life. He and Ruth attended the First Southern Baptist Church in Norris City.

He is survived by his wife Ruth; 1 son Stephen Eugene (Etta) Healy of Enfield and 1 daughter, Rebecca Ann (Bob) Connaway of Norris City; 5 grandchildren, Chris (Jessica) Connaway, Tim Connaway, Megan (Duane) Shields, Amy Maxey and Alicia (Michael) Hoover; 11 great-grandchildren and a brother, Robert Healy of Lafayette, IN. He was preceded in death by his parents and 4 brothers, Wilford, Charles, Edward and Ivan Healy.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday November 27, 2013 at the Stendeback Family Funeral Home in Enfield with Rev. Dennis Reed and Chaplain Mike Fields officiating. Burial will be in Enfield Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Wabash Christian Retirement Center and the First Southern Baptist Church in Norris City.
