Gerald E. "Butch" Alldredge, 74, of Mt. Vernon, passed away at Linda White Hospice in Evansville on Sunday evening, November 4, 2018. He was born on July 26, 1944 in Mt. Vernon, the son of William S. and Rosa Lee (Rigdon) Alldredge. He married Sandy Schuster and she survives.
Butch was a self-employed welder and re-tipped oil field drill bits. He enjoyed the river, camping and gardening, and restoring old cars. He was a member of the Point Township Nazarene Church.
He is survived by his wife, Sandy, of eleven years; son, Brian (Mollie) Alldredge; daughters, Tina (Tim) Mc Cloud and Tamara Alldredge; eight grandchildren, Trevor Gervais, Brevin Alldredge, Isabelle Alldredge, Adam McCloud, Kelley McCloud, Faith Alldredge, Karlee Harper and Owen Harper; sisters, Virginia (Otis) Holder, Lana Alldredge, Billie (Paul) Smith, and Helen (Jeff Bird) Wisgerhof; sister-in-law, Sharon Stephens; and brothers-in-law, Ron (Kimberly) Schuster and Lonnie (Nancy) Schuster, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, mother of his children, Nancy Wyatt and nephew, William Ashley Alldredge.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, November 9, 2018 at Stendeback Family Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, November 8, 2018 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Beech Grove Cemetery. Online condolences may be left at stendebackfamilyfuneralhome.com
