George Zoph, age 73 of Norris City, died Thursday afternoon February 6, 2014 at Deaconess Hospice in Evansville. He was born May 7, 1940 at Norris City, the son of Charles E and Mary (Stull) Zoph. He married Deloris Graves on April 6, 1965 at Ringold, GA.
George had worked as a truck driver. He enjoyed woodworking, horseback riding, music and painting cars. He was a veteran of the United States Navy.
He is survived by his wife, Deloris; his son, Terry R (Terri Lynn) Zoph of Muddy; 2 grandchildren, Tasha Givens and Randall Trout; numerous nieces and nephews; Children, Jeff and Greg Zoph and grandson, Jay Parrish and his children. He was preceded in death by his brother, Charles W. Zoph and a sister, Glenda Joyce Jackson.
Memorials services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday February 17, 2014 at the Church of God at 1600 Marshall Street, Eldorado. The Stendeback Family Funeral Home in Carmi is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be left at stendebackfamilyfuneralhome.com
