Genevieve Proctor, 93, of Carmi passed away Sunday, May 6, 2012 at 9:00am at Wabash Christian Retirement Center in Carmi. She was born July 11, 1918 in Dahlgren, IL the daughter of John and Stella (Sink) Witters. Genevieve married Norwood F. "Woody" Proctor on July 24, 1937 and he preceded her in death on February 18, 2002. She was a homemaker and a member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church.

Genevieve is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Woodra and Danny Hamilton of Mt. Vernon, IL; two sons and daughters-in-law, Bill and Nancy Proctor of Carmi and John and Janet Proctor of Enid, OK; a sister, Nadine Curlock of Dahlgren; a sister-in-law, Betty Witters of Marion, IL; seven grandchildren, Shelda Noto, Bethany Gingrich, John A. Proctor, Becky Honeyman, Teresa Ankerson, Eric Proctor and Rob Proctor; 17 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; lifetime friend Lorene Edmondson and a special family friend, Bob Thomason and family.

She was also preceded in death by a sister, Irene Sodders and a brother, Charles Witters.

Funeral Services for Genevieve Proctor, 93, of Carmi will be Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at 11:00 am at Emmanuel United Methodist Church in Carmi with Mike Fields and Rev. Gene Ramsey officiaiting. Burial will be in White County Memorial Garden in Carmi. Friends may call on Wednesday after 9:00 am at Emmanuel United Methodist Church. Memorial Contributions may be made in Genevieve's memory to Wabash Christian Retirement Center Haven Center and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi who is in charge of arrangements
