Gary Phillips

Gary Wayne Phillips, 66 of Mt. Vernon, died Thursday March 20, 2014 at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville. He was born April 2, 1947 in Evansville, the son of Alvin E and Mary (Wilhite) Phillips.

Gary had worked at National Health Laboratories. He had been a member of the Mt. Vernon Eagles and Elks Lodges.

He is survived by 2 brothers, Michael and Kris and Roger and Patty Phillips, 4 sisters, Linda Gross, Mary and Bernard Biggie, Janet and Dennis Gambrel and Diane and Herman Turner; also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Stanley, Stephen and Brian.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday March 22, 2014 at Stendeback Family Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon. Visitation will be from noon until services. Online condolences may be left at stendebackfamilyfuneralhome.com
