Gary McPeak

Gary L. McPeak, age 63, of Enfield, passed away Sunday, May 5, 2013, at St. Mary's Hospital in Evansville. He was born June 2, 1949, in McLeansboro, the son of Elmo and Zelia Maye (Todd) McPeak. He married Betty J. Bassett on June 13, 1972, in Enfield, and she preceded him in death on March 5, 2003.

Gary worked at Air-Tex for 29 years. He also worked with the Enfield Fire Department and ESDA. He was a member of the Enfield Christian Church.

He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Kerri and Derek Austin of Enfield; a brother and sister-in-law, John and Brenda McPeak of McLeansboro; two grandchildren, Christina and Tiffany Mantel; his special friends, Marsha and Clyde Rush of Enfield; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Betty; a son, Christopher; and his parents.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am, Thursday, May 9, 2013, at Enfield Christian Church. Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 8, from 5:00 to 8:00 pm, at Stendeback Family Funeral Home in Enfield. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
