Gary Hosman

Gary L. Hosman, 60 of Carmi, passed away Sunday evening September 20, 2015 at Hamilton Memorial Hospital in McLeansboro. He was born January 27, 1955 in Carmi, the son of Bernard Eugene and Mary (Alvey) Hosman.

Gary had worked several years in the Oil Field. He belonged to the Sons of the American Legion. He enjoyed fishing and mushroom hunting.

He is survived by his sons, Chris (Tracy) Hosman, Kevin Hosman all of Norris City and Justin Hosman of Eldorado; daughter, Jennifer Hosman of Eldorado; 11 grandchildren; his brother, Steve Hosman of Carmi and sisters, Paula French, Kay (Larry) Frashier and Carolyn (David) Henson all of Carmi. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Jerry French.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday September 24, 2015 at the Stendeback Family Funeral Home in Carmi with burial in Kuykendall Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time of services. In lieu of flowers, donation are suggested to the family in care of the funeral home.
