Gary Harper

Gary L. Harper, 82, of Norris City passed away Friday, July 23, 2021 at his residence.  He was born on February 11, 1939 in Omaha, IL the son of Wayne William and Mildred Rose (Minor) Harper.  He was a 1957 graduate of Norris City High School.  Gary joined the United States Army and proudly served his country from May 1959 to May 1961.  He retired after 50 years with the United States Postal Service.

Gary is survived by his siblings, William (Patricia) Harper of Boynton Beach, FL, Phillip (Edna) Harper of Norris City and Peggy Harper of Boynton Beach, FL; along with three nieces.  He was preceded in death by his parents and two siblings, Douglas Harper and Brenda Valentine.

Graveside funeral services and burial for Gary L. Harper, 82, of Norris City will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 28, 2021 in IOOF Cemetery.  Campbell Funeral Home in Norris City is in charge of arrangements.
