G. Naomi Bell, 94 of Pekin, passed away at 7:48 a.m. Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at Amy's Country Manor in Pekin.
Born January 17, 1921 in Equality, IL to Richard and Gertrude (Locklear) Woods, she married Arthur "Lando" Bell on December 7, 1940 in Jackson, MO. He died on September 3, 2002 in Pekin. Also preceding her in death are her parents; one brother; and one daughter, Pamela Jean Becker on October 31, 1978 in Norris City.
Surviving are one son, Ron (Cathie) Bell of Pekin; four grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren and one sister, Leveda (Arthur) McGhee of Harold, IL.
Naomi had worked for Pekin Hospital 21 years as a nurse's aide, retiring in October, 1977.
A farm wife and a true family person, Naomi loved gardening and flowers. She also enjoyed camping and going shopping.
Her visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, October 31, 2015 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Funeral Services will be held Monday, November 2, 2015 at 2 p.m. at Campbell Funeral Home in Norris City, where additional visitation will be held from noon to 2 p.m. Rev. Dennis Reed will officiate. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Norris City.
