Francis Morris

Francis E. "F.E." Morris, 86, of Norris City passed away Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at 12:30pm at Ferrell Hospital in Eldorado, IL. F.E. was born October 30, 1925 in Gossett, IL the son of William Ernie and Hallie Frances (Campbell) Morris. He married Bertha Ann Edwards on April 8, 1947. F.E. owned and operated F.E. Morris Excavating and was a World War II and Korean War Army veteran. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge were he was a 32rd degree Mason, Hadi Shrine, American Legion and VFW.

F.E. is survived by his wife of 65 years, Bertha of Norris City; two daughters, Alice Ann Sutton and Marsha Jean Price both of Norris City; a son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Charlotte Morris of Norris City; six grandchildren, Shawnda Morris, Amanda Cannon, Allison Grabert, Victoria Woodrow, Scott Price and Gina Harms; and 11 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Francis Russell Morris and a brother, W.D. Morris.

Funeral services for Francis E. "F.E." Morris, 86, of Norris City will be held Friday, April 6, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Campbell Funeral Home in Norris City with Rev. Rudy Barnett officiating. Masonic services will be conducted. Burial, with military rites by Carmi VFW and American Legion, will be in Village Cemetery in Norris City. Friends may call on Friday after 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
