Ferrell Bishop

Farrell M. “Cody” Bishop, 76, of Mt. Vernon, IL and formerly of Calhoun, KY, died at 11:55 AM Friday, April 9, 2004 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon, IL. Cody was born August 12, 1927 in Franklin County, IL son of George M. and Lilly (Tippy) Bishop. He was an oil pumper for Resser Oil Company and was a WW II US Army Veteran. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie, 2 sons, Mickey and Steve.
He is survived by two sons and daughters in law, Terry and Nancy Bishop of Ewing, IL and Bill and LaVerta Bishop of Searcy, Arkansas. Also surviving is his sister, Vernon L. Keene of Macedonia, IL and 10 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM, Monday, April 12, 2004 at Poplar Grove Cemetery in Poplar Grove, KY. There is no visitation. Austin Funeral Home, 1330 East Fourth Street, Mt. Vernon, IN is in charge of arrangements.
