Evelyn DeLap

Elaine DeLap, 62, of Norris City passed away at 3:12 p.m., Monday, October 30, 2017 at Ferrell Hospital in Eldorado, IL.  She was born in Eldorado, IL on August 21, 1955 the daughter of Donald and Sylvia (Grant) Beasley.  Elaine married John E. DeLap on November 10, 1979.  She was a homemaker and active member of the Norris City Lions Club where she was serving as President.  Elaine was active in Boy Scout Troop #345 and enjoyed cooking for scouting events. She enjoyed spending time with her grandkids, camping and liked to sew.

Elaine is survived by her husband, John Delap; daughter, Cassie Delap, of Enfield; three sons, John Taylor, William (Heather) and Ethan Delap, all of Norris City; parents, Donald and Sylvia Beasley, of Bunker Hill, IL; eight brothers, Mick, Harry, Terry and Wayne Beasley, all of Wood River, IL, Kevin and Brian Beasley, both of Bunker Hill, IL, Bruce Beasley, of Godfrey, IL and Roger Beasley, of Bethalto, IL; sister Diana Lankford, of Bunker Hill, IL; and five grandchildren, Kenady, Logan, Marshall, Raelyn and Tucker.

Funeral service for Elaine Delap, 62, of Norris City will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, November 3, 2017 a Campbell Funeral Home in Norris City. Burial will be in Mt. Oval Cemetery in Norris City. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 2, 2017 at Campbell Funeral Home.  Memorial contributions may be made in Elaine's memory to Campbell Funeral Home to assist with funeral expenses.
