Eloise Vaupel, 83, of Carmi passed away at 1:06 a.m., Thursday, February 12, 2015 at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, IN. She was born in White County, IL on June 22, 1931 the daughter of Martin and Coralee (Funkhouser) Vaupel. Eloise had work as a waitress at King's, The Coffee Shop and the Carmi Steakhouse. She attended Ridge Baptist Church in Grayville and was a member of Eastern Star and was very active in BP and W.
Eloise is survived by three sisters, Anna Louise Dennis of Enfield, Mary Helen Young-Buttry and husband Jim of Norris City and Madeline Lamp of Carmi; two brothers, Lowell Vaupel and wife Carolyn of Carmi and Lloyd Vaupel and wife Linda of Cleveland, TN; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Luther and Floyd Vaupel and two nephews, Kevin Vaupel and Mike Dennis.
Funeral Services for Eloise Vaupel, 83, of Carmi will be at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, February 15, 2015 at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi with Pastor Don Mobley officiating. Burial will be in Centerville Cemetery near Carmi. Friends may call at Campbell Funeral Home on Sunday after 12:00 p.m. Memorial Contributions may be made in Eloise's memory to Meadowood Nursing Home Activity Fund and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi.
