Ellon Eckiss

Ellon "Mickey" Eckiss, 86, of Carmi passed away at 10:35 p.m., Saturday, August 8, 2015 in Brazil, IN. She was born in Princeton, IN on July 11, 1929 the daughter of Devin Davis and Versa Marie (Bruce) McClure. Mickey married Bobby Gene Eckiss, Sr. on October 8, 1949 and he preceded her in death on September 12, 2014. She was a homemaker and a member of Springerton Community Church.

Mickey is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Rita and Kenny Rager of Carmi and Tina and Robert Timmerman of Independence, KY; three sons and daughters-in-law, Bobby and Ruth Eckiss, Jr., of Robards, KY, Kevin and Susie Eckiss of Brazil, IN and Terry and Teri Eckiss, Sr. of Boonville, IN; 10 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Betty McGowan; and a brother, Bill McClure.

Funeral services for Ellon "Mickey" Eckiss, 86, of Carmi will be at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi with Rev. Kenny Rager and Rev. William Jackson officiating. Burial will be in Union Ridge Cemetery near Norris City. Friends may call at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi on Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made in Mickey's memory to Inside Out Recovery, 1408 E. Hendrix St., Brazil, IN 47834 and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home.
