Margaret Elizabeth South, 82, of Enfield passed away Tuesday evening December 8, 2015 at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, Indiana. She was born December 20, 1932 at home in Hamilton County, the daughter of Freeman and Margaret Ann (Cusic) Wilson. She married Jack South on October 21, 1956 at the Enfield United Methodist Church and they celebrated 59 years of marriage this past October.

She is survived by her husband Jack South of Enfield; Son, David South of Enfield; Daughters, Kaye (Al) Schroeder of Towanda, and Karen (David) Whitley of Enfield. She is also survived by and a Sister Donna (Earl) DeLong of Carmi. She is survived by Three Grandchildren; Jacob and Keanan Schroeder, Maggie South and One Great-Grandchild Mercy South. She was preceded in death by a brother, Walter L Wilson.

Liz was a Secretary from 1951-58 in the Enfield School District. After that, she was a homemaker and focused on raising her family. She loved to cook, watch the humming birds from her kitchen table, and help with events at the Family Life Center. In addition, she loved attending the Mule Days Celebration. Most of all, she loved caring for her children and grandchildren. She was an active member of the Enfield United Methodist Church.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday December 12, 2015 at the Stendeback Family Funeral Home in Enfield IL with Rev. Mike Buckman officiating. Burial to follow at Enfield Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday December 11, 2015 from 5p.m until 8 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Enfield United Methodist Church.
