Elizabeth Fechtig

Elizabeth "Betty" Fechtig, 80, of Mill Shoals, passed away Friday, October 26, 2012 at 5:25 a.m. at St. Mary's Medical Center in Evansville, IN. She was born May 31, 1932 in Carmi, the daughter of Gilbert and Harriet (Fields) Jordan. Betty married Harold Wayne Fechtig November 19, 1950 and he preceded her in death October 23, 1995. She was a farm wife, a member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church in Carmi and DAR.
Betty is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Brian and Beth Fechtig of Carmi and Bruce and Marcy Fechtig of Mill Shoals; four grandchildren, Cole Fechtig, Brandon, Kelsey and Jessica Northcott; and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Elizabeth "Betty" Fechtig, 80, of Mill Shoals, will be held Sunday, October 28, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Emmanuel United Methodist Church in Carmi with Rev. Gene Ramsey officiating. Burial will be in North Maple Ridge Cemetery in Carmi. Friends may call on Saturday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi who is in charge of arrangements. Betty will lie in state at the church on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until time of service.
Memorial contributions may be given in Betty's name to Emmanuel United Methodist Church in Carmi.
