Elinor Rennels

Elinor Wave Poole Rennels, 86, of Evansville, IN, passed away Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at 8:34 p.m. at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, IN. She was born May 26, 1926 in Heralds Prairie Township, IL, the daughter of Thomas Hopewell and Anna Eva (McArthy) Poole. She married Joseph E. Rennels December 7, 1945 and he preceded her in death November 17, 1995. Elinor was a homemaker and a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority.

Elinor is survived by a daughter, Martha Ann Rennels of Evansville, IN; four sons, Michael Joseph Rennels of Evansville, IN, Scott Anthony (Debbie) Rennels of Jonesboro, AR, Gary Lee Rennels and Thomas Everett (Elizabeth)Rennels both of Evansville, IN; eleven grandchildren, Stephen Rennels of Chicago, IL, Jennifer (Steve) Johnson of Newburgh, IN, Holly (Sean) Rennels-Cockrell of Walnut Ridge, AR, Scott Rennels, Jr. and Tyler Shea (Raymie) Rennels all of Jonesboro, AR, Abby (Schuyler) Rennels-Buttrum, Micah Rennels, Hannah Rennels, Madeline Rennels, Margeaux Rennels, and Nicholas Rennels all of Evansville, IN; and six great-grandchildren, Cade and Lilli Cockrell, Logan Johnson Layten Ty Rennels, Lyam Rennels and Violet Wave Buttrum. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; six sisters, Audrey Bayley, Evelyn Austin, Reba Moye, Pauline Melton, Virginia Gray Bayley and Emily Buttry; and four brothers, Byron, Lawrence, Woodrow and John Poole.

Funeral services for Elinor Wave Poole Rennels, 86, of Evansville, IN will be at 11:00 am, Saturday, July 14, 2012 at St. Polycarp Catholic Church in Carmi with Rev. Father Stephen Rudolphi officiating. Burial will be at Maple Ridge Cemetery in Carmi. Friends may call on Friday, from 4:00 pm until 8:00pm at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi. Memorial contributions may be made in Elinor's memory to a favorite charity.
