Edward Thomas "Pete" Hosick, Jr., 58, of Crossville, passed away on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at Hamilton Memorial Hospital. He was born August 25, 1958 in Chicago, IL the son of Edward Thomas and Ermadine (York) Hosick. Pete married Cathy McMinn on May 5, 1985, and she preceded him in death on August 13, 2013. He was a truck driver for various companies including Martin and Bayley and most recently drove for NMT of Effingham, IL. Pete served in the U.S. Army from 1978 to 1981. He loved riding his motorcycle, working on cars and fishing. Pete was a loving father and grandfather.
Pete is survived by a daughter Jeanette (Adam) Archer of Crossville; a son, Josh (Samantha) Hosick of Crossville; five grandchildren, Deanna Hosick, Zackkary Hosick, Dakota (Lacie) Hosick, Kaitlin Shelton and Brooklyn Webb; three great grandchildren, Aleeyah Pollard, Kailynn Hosick, and Kali Hosick; and three sisters, Carolyn Sue (Fidel) Mata of Bowling Green, OH, Sheila (Jim) Thornton of Lick Creek, IL and Christine (Wilgus) Turner of Austin, IN.
He was preceded in death by wife, Cathy, and his parents.
Funeral services for Edward Thomas "Pete", 58, of Crossville, will be at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, July 13, 2017 at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi. Burial will be in Newman Cemetery near Carmi. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m.until 8:00 p.m., on Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi. Memorial contributions may be made in Pete's memory to Karing for Kids or the White County Summer Lunch Program and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi.
