Edna Shatzsall

Edna Shatzsall, 99, of Athens, Texas and formerly of Norris City, passed away Thursday, April 19, 2012 at East Texas Medical Center. She was born January 5, 1913 in Simpson, IL, the daughter of Loyd Omer and Ada Ann (Stapleton) Blades. Edna married John James Schatzsall April 1, 1934 and he preceded her in death July 14, 1995. She was a homemaker and a member of Village Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Norris City.
Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, James L. and Wanda Shatzsall of Athens, TX; two grandchildren, James Jay Shatzsall and Janice R. and husband, Barry Stillwell; and two great-grandchildren, Kristofor J. D. Storts and Lauren Elizabeth Shatzsall.
Edna was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a brother, Leo L. Blades.
Funeral services for Edna Shatzsall, 99, of Athens, Texas and formerly of Norris City, will be Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Village Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Norris City with Rev. Rudy Barnett officiating. Burial will be in the Village Cemetery. Friends may call on Monday from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Campbell Funeral Home in Norris City who is in charge of arrangements.
