Earl McKinley DeLong, 74, of Carmi passed away at 10:54 a.m., Thursday, October 19, 2017 at Howard County General Hospital in Columbia, MD. He was born in Henderson, KY on April 1, 1943 the son of McKinley and Ruby Clara (O'Bryant) DeLong. Earl married Donna Kay Wilson on June 5, 1971. He retired as a Railroad Track Foreman for CSX.
Earl is survived by his wife of 46 years, Donna DeLong, of Carmi; two sons Jeff (Tricia) DeLong, of Evansville, IN and Kenny (Terrie) DeLong, of Henderson, KY; sister, Annie Moyers, of Woodbine, MD; six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, McKinley and Ruby DeLong, his son, Keith DeLong, four brothers, John W., David B., Thomas E. and Marlin R. Stone and a sister, Betty Jean Watson.
Funeral services for Earl M. DeLong, 74, of Carmi will be held at 1:00 p.m., on Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi. Burial will be in Enfield Cemetery in Enfield. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Monday, October 23, 2017 at Campbell Funeral Home and after 11:00 a.m. Tuesday till time of the service. Memorial contributions may be made in Earl's memory to the donor's favorite charity and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi.
