Biography
Earl E. Ashabraner, age 85, of Norris City, passed away Saturday, September 29, 2012, at Wabash Christian Retirement Center in Carmi. He was born February 5, 1927, in Inglenook, AL, the son of George J. and Elsie (Ingram) Ashabraner. He married Martha Jenkins on August 27, 1945 in Hopkinsville, KY, and she survives.
Earl was an Army veteran. He had worked and retired from the railroad.
He is survived by his wife, Martha; and good friends, Karla and Bill Taylor and Mary and Gary Cates.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, October 3, 2012, at White County Memorial Garden in Carmi. Reverend Mike Buckman will officiate. Military burial rites will be provided by the American Legion and VFW Posts of Carmi. Stendeback Family Funeral Home of Carmi is in charge of arrangements.
