Dorothy Pollard

     Dorothy Ann Pollard, 87, of Carmi, Illinois, sadly passed away on Thursday, April 3, 2025, in Dunedin, Florida. She was born in Thackeray, Illinois, on July 20, 1937, the daughter of Andrew and Violet (Campbell) McMahan. Dorothy married Donald G. Pollard on November 4, 1953. She spent several years as a press operator at the Sewing Factory in Enfield, and later as a homemaker. Dorothy was a feisty, stubborn and funny woman who was so loved by her family and was truly one of a kind. She attended First Baptist Church in Carmi. Dorothy was an avid bingo player and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren which she adored.

     Dorothy is survived by her three daughters, Loretta Buttry of Carmi, IL, Dixie (David) Cross of Safety Harbor, FL. and Misty Green of Columbus, OH; one brother, Buddy McMahan of McLeansboro, IL; grandchildren, Brandy (Ian Bender) Pollard of Atlanta, GA, Dustin (Sarah) Buttry of Carmi, IL, Zachary Buttry of Carmi, IL, April Davis of Safety Harbor, FL, Amber Davis of Palm Harbor, FL, Austin (Melissa) Coniglione of Evansville, IN, Maddissen (Alex Torres) Green of Indianapolis, IN, Jordan Green of Columbus, OH. and Jazmyn Green of Tampa, FL; great-grandchildren, Abbie Buttry, Kailey and Riley Harkins, Jackson, Rowen and Brecken Buttry, Devin Duke, Aniya Newman, Colten and Mia Coniglione, and Emerson Pollard-Bender; and one great-great grandson, Sawyer Buttry. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Donald G. Pollard; a son-in-law, Rudy Buttry; grandchildren, Gabrielle Coniglione and Sidney Green; brothers, Billy McMahan, Gene McMahan, Donald McMahan and Osborne McMahan; and an infant sister, Lucille McMahan.

     Graveside funeral services and burial for Dorothy Pollard will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 12, 2025. at Enfield Cemetery, in Enfield, Illinois. Condolences may be sent in care of Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi, who is in charge of arrangements.
