Dorothy Holtzclaw

August 11, 1925 — May 6, 2018

Dorothy L. Holtzclaw, 92, of Carmi, passed away Sunday, May 6, 2018 at Hamilton Memorial Hospital in McLeansboro. She was born in Enfield, IL on August 11, 1925 the daughter of Daniel Webster and Lella (Gwaltney) Fields. Dorothy had worked at  Ainsbrook Sewing Factory and was a homemaker. She enjoyed sewing and gardening, especially flowers. Dorothy was a member of the Marshall Ferry Baptist Church.

Dorothy is survived by two daughters, Carmeta (John) Bingman and Vickie (Keith) Holman, both of Carmi; sister, Shirley McDougal, of Peoria, IL; three grandchildren, Nathan (Samantha) Bingman, Brent Bingman and Jerry Holman; three great-grandchildren, Easton and Hattie Bingman and Kazlyn Holman; nieces and nephews, John Fields, Joan Dozier, Kevin Kuykendall, Debbie Clark, Jackie Burr, Johnny Fields and Chris Fields. She was preceded in death by a brother, Chris Fields, four sisters, Wanda Etienne, Betty Pollard, Mary Fields and Peggy Clark and one niece and four nephews, Connie Winter, Charles Holmes, Jim Fields, Mickey Pollard and Jason Kuykendall.

Private services will be held with burial in Kuykendall Cemetery in Carmi. Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi is in charge of arrangements.
