Doris Barbre

Doris P. Barbre, 92 , of Terre Haute, IN and formerly of Carmi, died on March 27, 2016 at the home of her daughter, Karen. She was born on June 23, 1923 in Detroit, MI, the daughter of Paul Carl and Maude (Seal) Schmidt. She married Albert M. Barbre November 3, 1945 in Detroit and he preceded her in death on December 12, 1994.
She is survived by sons, Randy P. (Rose) Barbre, Tim D. (Donna) Barbre, Rodney C. (Sarah) Barbre, and Jerry A. (Darlyn) Barbre; daughter, Karen G. Phelps; 19 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren; She was preceded in death by son, Jan K. Barbre and daughter Patti L. Barbre, brothers, Paul Carl Schmidt, Jr. and Lewis Harry Berry and sister Emilene Riser.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at Stendeback Family Funeral Home in Carmi, with burial in Centerville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until the time of the service. On-line condolences may be left at stendebackfamilyfuneralhome.com
