Donna Townsend

Donna Jean Townsend, 76, of Englewood, Florida, passed away Monday, March 2, 2015 at 6:19 a.m. at Venice Regional Medical Center in Venice, Florida. She was born on January 1, 1939 in Norris City, IL, the daughter of Rev. Marion E. and Louise J. (Wooten) Henson. Donna married Thurman Ray Fleck December 25, 1958 and he preceded her in death on October 30, 1970. She then married Roger Townsend and he also preceded her in death. Donna retired from the state of Florida after 30 years as a drivers license examiner.

Donna is survived by a daughter, Angie Peterson of Englewood, FL; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Stanley Fleck of Englewood, FL and Terry and Susan Fleck of Phoenix, AZ; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Martha West of Englewood, FL and Sandy and Bert Knight of Carmi; a brother and sister-in-law, Don and Karen Henson of Norris City; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands; and three brothers, Bill and Ray Henson and Arthur Bradshaw.

Funeral services for Donna Jean Townsend, 76, of Englewood, Florida will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2015 at 12:00 p.m. at Campbell Funeral Home in Norris City with Fred Leeds officiating. Burial will be in Enfield Cemetery in Enfield. Friends may call on Saturday, after 10:00 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.
