Donna M. Smith, 78 of Carmi, passed away at Select Care Specialty on Wednesday evening, December 27, 2017. She was born on January 14, 1939 in Memphis, TN, the daughter of Edger and Jewell (Butler) Peterson. She married Donald Smith and he preceded her in death on December 30, 2005.
She is survived by sons, Timothy Smith, Steven Smith, Daniel Smith and Samuel Smith; and daughters, Judy Nelson, Patricia Smith and Debrah Rizzio; 17 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. She was preceded by son, David Andrew Smith.
Funeral services will be held at Noon on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at Stendeback Family Funeral Home in Carmi. Visitation will be from 10 until the time of the service. Burial will be in East Fork Cemetery in West Frankfort. Online condolences may be left at stendebackfamilyfuneralhome.com
