Donna McCord

      Donna Jean McCord, 76, of Carmi, passed away on Sunday, May 5, 2024. She was born on May 7, 1947, in Carmi, Illinois, the daughter of Archie and Lillian (Mick) Brown. She was a 1965 graduate of Carmi Township High School. Donna worked as the Office Manager at Browns Feed and Chemical. She enjoyed going to Las Vegas and shopping.

     Donna is survived by her children, Tammi (Jason) Crossett of Cadiz, KY. and Amy McCord of Carmi, IL; grandchildren, Autumn Rapp and Trenton Belford; the father of her children, Roy McCord; siblings, Mike (Jeannie) Brown and Gary (Marilyn) Brown; nieces and nephews, Angie Willis, Sherri Ward, Greg Brown, Jeff Brown and Gerry Brown. She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Roy McCord, Jr.

       A Joint graveside memorial service and burial of ashes for Donna McCord and Roy McCord will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 14, 2024 in North Maple Ridge Cemetery in Carmi with military honors by the Carmi American Legion and VFW. A gathering will immediately follow at the Carmi Elks at noon. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi or mailed to 609 W. Main St. Carmi, IL. 62821.
