Donna Cox

Donna Jo (Grant) Cox, 73, of Hazelwood, MO passed away peacefully with her family by her side on August 3, 2014. Beloved wife of Orvil Cox, Jr.; dear mother of Robin J. (Tom) Cagle, Renee J. Cox and Cheryl D. Cox; loving grandmother "Donna Jo" of Jeff and Chelsea Cagle; "younger" sister of Brenda (Darrell) Lamar. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lowell and Mattie Grant, and her sister, Eloise Steffan. Beloved sister-in-law, aunt, great aunt, cousin, neighbor and friend to many and special "DI" to Sue Sands.

Donna was a member of First Baptist Church in Ferguson, MO. Donna's sincere compassion, positive attitude and devotion to family and friends will serve as an inspiration to all who knew her. She will be greatly missed by all. The family wishes to thank her caregivers at Mercy Hospital and Skilled Nursing Facility for their kind and compassionate care given to her during her courageous battle.

Visitation will be on Friday August 8th, from 10am until funeral services begin at 12 noon at Campbell Funeral Home, 609 W. Main St. Carmi, IL 62821. Burial will be in Union Ridge Cemetery near Norris City. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or MS society.
